You think of time like a river, always moving forward. Einstein said something stranger might be true: every choice, every joy and sadness from birth to death already exists. I trace what that means through physics, near-death experiences, and astronauts describing the view from orbit, all pointing toward a single idea: our universe may be one thought inside a much larger mind, kept alive moment to moment by a love that chooses, again and again, not to let go.

I set out to build an app connecting spiritual seekers with spiritual leaders across all faiths. Before raising money, I tested my idea with potential customers. The results surprised me: people were not looking for religion repackaged in a digital format. They had moved on, finding spiritual connection in non-spiritual places. My app was dead on arrival, but the insight behind its failure reshaped how I understand faith in America, and became the foundation for my company, ProSocial.

Lang raised nearly $37,000 for a house, then travelled to Chernivtsi and Kyiv, surviving a missile strike, to film two documentaries and meet the families Novi supports. Here is what he witnessed, and how you can help.
